UK-UFO hacker descibes what he found on NASA and Defense computers

In 2002, Gary McKinnon was arrested by the UK's national high-tech crime unit, after being accused of hacking into Nasa and the US military computer networks.

He says he spent two years looking for photographic evidence of alien spacecraft and advanced power technology.

America now wants to put him on trial, and if tried there he could face 60 years behind bars. Banned from using the internet, Gary spoke to Click presenter Spencer Kelly to tell his side of the story, ahead of his extradition hearing on Wednesday, 10 May.

Spencer Kelly: Here's your list of charges: you hacked into the Army, the Navy, the Air Force, the Department of Defense, and Nasa, amongst other things. Why?

Gary McKinnon: I was in search of suppressed technology, laughingly referred to as UFO technology. I think it's the biggest kept secret in the world because of its comic value, but it's a very important thing.

Old-age pensioners can't pay their fuel bills, countries are invaded to award oil contracts to the West, and meanwhile secretive parts of the secret government are sitting on suppressed technology for free energy.

SK: How did you go about trying to find the stuff you were looking for in Nasa, in the Department of Defense?

GM: Unlike the press would have you believe, it wasn't very clever. I searched for blank passwords, I wrote a tiny Perl script that tied together other people's programs that search for blank passwords, so you could scan 65,000 machines in just over eight minutes.

SK: So you're saying that you found computers which had a high-ranking status, administrator status, which hadn't had their passwords set - they were still set to default?

GM: Yes, precisely.

SK: Were you the only hacker to make it past the slightly lower-than-expected lines of defence?

GM: Yes, exactly, there were no lines of defence. There was a permanent tenancy of foreign hackers. You could run a command when you were on the machine that showed connections from all over the world, check the IP address to see if it was another military base or whatever, and it wasn't.

The General Accounting Office in America has again published another damning report saying that federal security is very, very poor.

SK: Over what kind of period were you hacking into these computers? Was it a one-time only, or for the course of a week?

GM: Oh no, it was a couple of years.

SK: And you went unnoticed for a couple of years?

GM: Oh yes. I used to be careful about the hours.

SK: So you would log on in the middle of the night, say?

GM: Yes, I'd always be juggling different time zones. Doing it at night time there's hopefully not many people around. But there was one occasion when a network engineer saw me and actually questioned me and we actually talked to each other via WordPad, which was very, very strange.

SK: So what did he say? And what did you say?

GM: He said "What are you doing?" which was a bit shocking. I told him I was from Military Computer Security, which he fully believed.

SK: Did you find what you were looking for?

GM: Yes.

SK: Tell us about it.

GM: There was a group called the Disclosure Project. They published a book which had 400 expert witnesses ranging from civilian air traffic controllers, through military radar operators, right up to the chaps who were responsible for whether or not to launch nuclear missiles.

They are some very credible, relied upon people, all saying yes, there is UFO technology, there's anti-gravity, there's free energy, and it's extra-terrestrial in origin, and we've captured spacecraft and reverse-engineered it.

SK: What did you find inside Nasa?

GM: One of these people was a Nasa photographic expert, and she said that in building eight of Johnson Space Centre they regularly airbrushed out images of UFOs from the high-resolution satellite imaging. What she said was there was there: there were folders called "filtered" and "unfiltered", "processed" and "raw", something like that.

I got one picture out of the folder, and bearing in mind this is a 56k dial-up, so a very slow internet connection, in dial-up days, using the remote control programme I turned the colour down to 4bit colour and the screen resolution really, really low, and even then the picture was still juddering as it came onto the screen.

But what came on to the screen was amazing. It was a culmination of all my efforts. It was a picture of something that definitely wasn't man-made.

It was above the Earth's hemisphere. It kind of looked like a satellite. It was cigar-shaped and had geodesic domes above, below, to the left, the right and both ends of it, and although it was a low-resolution picture it was very close up.

This thing was hanging in space, the earth's hemisphere visible below it, and no rivets, no seams, none of the stuff associated with normal man-made manufacturing.

SK: Is it possible this is an artist's impression?

GM: I don't know... For me, it was more than a coincidence. This woman has said: "This is what happens, in this building, in this space centre". I went into that building, that space centre, and saw exactly that.

SK: Do you have a copy of this? It came down to your machine.

GM: No, the graphical remote viewer works frame by frame. It's a Java application, so there's nothing to save on your hard drive, or at least if it is, only one frame at a time.

SK: So did you get the one frame?

GM: No.

SK: What happened?

GM: Once I was cut off, my picture just disappeared.

SK: You were actually cut off the time you were downloading the picture?

GM: Yes, I saw the guy's hand move across.

SK: You acknowledge that what you did was against the law, it was wrong, don't you?

GM: Unauthorised access is against the law and it is wrong.

SK: What do you think is a suitable punishment for someone who did what you did?

GM: Firstly, because of what I was looking for, I think I was morally correct. Even though I regret it now, I think the free energy technology should be publicly available.

I want to be tried in my own country, under the Computer Misuse Act, and I want evidence brought forward, or at least want the Americans to have to provide evidence in order to extradite me, because I know there is no evidence of damage.

Background on the Kecksburg Incident 1965

This is why NASA was told to re-investigate on Nov 11, 2007.


An object landed in the tiny town of Kecksburg, PA on December 9, 1965. It was
observed as a fireball in the sky across several U.S. states and Canada. Four witnesses
have provided independent, corroborated descriptions of the object and its location in the Kecksburg woods. Dozens of others - including fire fighters, newspaper reporters, and a news director at radio station WHJB who was on the scene taping interviews - describe the military presence at the crash site, the cordoning off of the area, and the retrieval of an object transported by an army truck. Many witnesses have provided signed affidavits for investigator Stan Gordon, who has been working on the case for over three decades.(For more information, see Gordon’s website at http://www.westol.com/~paufo.) At the scene, officials told residents that a meteor crashed. The next day, the U.S.Government declared that nothing fell that night and nothing was found. This is the official U.S. Government position. However, witness reports and newspaper articles at the time clearly establish that something fell and that it maneuvered in the sky before impact. In all likelihood, the object was either a highly advanced space probe or an unknown object from outer space. The files of Project Blue Book, the official Air Force investigation into UFOs terminated in 1969, state that no space debris entered our atmosphere that day. “Aluminum type” fragments were retrieved in Michigan and sent to Project Blue Book. (Where are they now?) A Blue Book memo says that no object was found in Pennsylvania. (Blue Book only had a “Secret” clearance and had the role of reporting information to the public; it is likely that the retrieval of this object was classified higher than Secret and thus Blue Book may not have been informed.) A Russian space probe, Cosmos 96, malfunctioned on the same day as the Kecksburg object, and this has been suggested by some as a plausible explanation. However, data provided by the US Space Command shows that Cosmos 96 came down over Canada at 3:18 am the crash in Kecksburg occurred at approximately 4:45 pm. Orbital coordinates obtained from the Goddard Space Center also prove that Cosmos 96 did not come down in Kecksburg. The Russian Space Agency (equivalent of our NASA) stated that it could make no correlation between Cosmos 96 and the incident at Kecksburg. The Russian Embassy also stated that there is no proof that any Soviet spacecraft landed in Kecksburg. In addition, witness descriptions of the object do not fit the size or other characteristics of Cosmos 96 or possible debris from it, as far as we know. No matter what it is, the issue here is the public’s right to information.

U.S. scientists say that Apollo astronauts found ancient ruins on the Moon (enterprisemission.com)

The former manager of the Data and Photo Control Department at NASA’s Lunar Receiving Laboratory during the manned Apollo Lunar Program, Ken Johnston, has released quite a number of sensational statements recently in the USA. The specialist said that U.S. astronauts found ancient ruins of artificial origin and a previously unknown technology to control gravitation when then landed on the Moon. Astronauts took pictures of the objects that they found, but NASA ordered Johnston to destroy the images. Johnston did not follow the order. He said that the U.S. government had been keeping this information a secret for 40 years.

Johnston's startling Apollo allegations have recently appeared in a new book, "Dark Mission: the Secret History of NASA," co-authored by former NASA consultant and CBS Science Advisor, Richard C. Hoagland and Mike Bara, an aerospace engineering consultant. According to Kay Ferrari, JPL Director of the SSA Program (in a phone call to Johnston last week), it was Johnston "being quoted [as] criticizing NASA in Hoagland's new book, 'Dark Mission,'" that prompted her to ask for Johnston's resignation from the SSA Program. When Johnston refused, citing First Amendment protections of free speech afforded all NASA employees, even those at JPL, Ferrari apparently decided to remove him arbitrarily from the SSA Program this week without cause.

The low quality pictures included in the book depict ruins of buildings, huge dome-like objects made of glass, stone towers and castled hanging in the air.

“I have nothing to lose. I have quarreled with NASA and I got fired,” Ken Johnston said.

Indeed, NASA believes that allegations of the ancient civilization found on the Moon are not serious. The authors of the controversial book also say that President John F. Kennedy, who launched the lunar race with the Soviet Union, actually intended to share extraterrestrial technologies with Moscow. Making a speech at the United Nations Organizations in September of 1963, Kennedy supposedly offered the USSR to organize a joint mission to the Moon.


Richard Hoagland believes that Washington’s interest in the Moon exploration that suddenly appeared after 30 years of silence is based on the lunar findings that the U.S. government has been keeping a secret for 40 years. Russia, China, Japan and even India have publicly announced their plans to work on the exploration of the Moon. The USA, Hoagland said, wants to be the first at this point.

In December NASA announced plans to build an international base on one of the poles of the Moon. The base is to be finished by 2024. Russia’s booster rocket maker, Energia, has a more ambitious program: to build a permanent manned base on the Moon by 2015.

Russia says the base will be built to develop the industrial production of helium-3. U.S. specialists prefer not to say anything specific on the matter. To crown it all, China launched its first satellite to the Moon on October 24. China also intends to launch a lunar base and an unmanned space probe to the Moon by 2010.

Non-radioactive isotope of helium, helium-3, is a powerful fuel for the nuclear synthesis. Only six tons of this fuel would provide enough energy to power a large European country for one year. The qualities of the gas (pollution-free and very high output) make many countries treat the perspective as seriously as possible. Germany, India and China conduct a number of research works to develop methods of helium-3 extraction.

Hoagland and Johnston also intend to prove that NASA virtually acts as another defense department of the United States, entitled to classify important technical and scientific information without the control of the U.S. Congress.

Hoagland says that American astronauts could secretly deliver samples of extraterrestrial technologies from the Moon to the Earth. The technologies, the scientist says, push world’s leading countries into a new lunar race. “Unlike the previous space race between the USSR and the USA, the new one will determine the life of every single human being on Earth,” Hoagland said.

Hoagland and Johnston think that the USA deliberately intensifies shuttle launches in order to shut down the program ahead of schedule and start using new the spacecraft, Constellation, that will let the USA land on the Moon again.

Richard Hoagland says that NASA conceals a number of other secrets, including the discovery of microbes on the surface of Mars. The discovery was supposedly made by unmanned space probe Viking in 1976.

During a debate last month, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton was attacked for not doing enough to speed the release of papers from her husband's presidential library. Now, responding to Freedom of Information Act requests, the library has begun unveiling any documents that deal — even remotely — with UFOs.

That's because many of the first requests were made by Grant Cameron, 53, who claims to have seen a UFO in the mid-'70s.

One request: "All files on UFOs, Roswell New Mexico, flying saucers, Area 51 or the TV show X-Files in the files of (Clinton aide) John Podesta."

Cameron hears reports that Hillary Clinton has been actively researching extraterrestrial life, but — typical pol — she's being cautious on the stump.

"It's not something that's going to win you any votes," Cameron says. After all, Rep. Dennis Kucinich says he once saw a UFO and "we've all seen the fallout" from that.

Cameron, who works as a building facility manager at the University of Manitoba and runs presidentialufo.com, has an abiding interest in one person: Vice President Dick Cheney.

"We believe he knows what's going on," he says.

You know, I'm skeptical because as a reporter, I realize if you could prove the existence of UFOs or produce an alien, you would make gazillions of dollars. I mean, it is a huge industry, even though nobody has produced anything. So I'm saying, if something was provable, it would have been done.

SHIRLEY MACLAINE, ACTRESS: I say I don't think that kind of proof is subjectable to making money and profit. I think it's much more important to know the truth than it is to make money on it, Bill.

MACLAINE: No, I think it's maybe more valuable concealed, at least at this time. A couple of reasons. One, it's an extension of the military-industrial complex, as long as there's something to be afraid of, it works for the military.

O'REILLY: I am not afraid of UFOs, are you?

MACLAINE: No, not at all.

O'REILLY: We are afraid of real aliens coming up overrunning the country. Not Venus aliens.

MACLAINE: Which maybe is happening.

The idea that I am pretty sure, in fact, I know, military intelligence knows, and they have proof. But now, what would that do if they really release it?

O'REILLY: But wait, wait, wait. I do not care about that. You tell me the proof and I will get it out.

MACLAINE: You are the last person I'd tell.

O'REILLY: Where is it?

MACLAINE: You have to do that. You are the reporter.

O'REILLY: You have to give me a hint?

MACLAINE: No, you have to work for your living.

O'REILLY: If you, Ms. MacLaine, have any proof of aliens, you can give it to me, and I guarantee you I will get it out there.

MACALAINE: There is no reason they cannot trust the American people to deal with this.

O'REILLY: So you want them to come clean, come clean about...

MACLAINE: Yes. And let me just point out that I think the reason it has been suppressed is because they are suppressing it for our own good, they think we might panic and pull an Orson Wells number, like happened like "War of the Worlds."

But where you have polls done where 60 percent of the American people believe in UFOs, I think we can handle it. And also this curtain of ridicule that goes on, like that.

O'REILLY: I agree you should not be ridiculed because you believe in UFOs. But I shouldn't be ridiculed if I am skeptical and ask you to provide me with as much information as you can.

MACLAINE: I am not ridiculing you.

O'REILLY: Okay. I know, you would never do that. You are much too nice.

Final question, do you believe that Bush and Cheney and all these guys know that there are extraterrestrials around? That they personally know it?

MACLAINE: From talking to Jimmy Carter, from my contacts with people around Reagan, the presidents are not on a need to know basis from military intelligence so I would say, possibly Cheney, but I would not say anybody else knows. And from the intelligence point of view, they have no need to know.

O'REILLY: Does Jimmy Carter believe that there is UFO evidence being suppressed?

MACLAINE: He asked for "sunshine laws" to be placed on the subject when he reported a UFO when he was governor of Georgia, you might remember.

O'REILLY: Does he believe in UFOs, Jimmy Carter?

MACLAINE: Yes. Oh yeah. And I have talked to all the astronauts. They tell me...

O'REILLY: Some astronauts do believe, and airline pilots, that they have seen unexplained things.

MACLAINE: Yeah. I think the question is not, are they seeing something real that's unidentified, but, what are they? Let's get into that discussion.

O'REILLY: Do you know what they are?

MACLAINE: There are so many visitations that I would have to do some kind of analysis on them and answer your question.

O'REILLY: So are they like we are? Are they people?

MACLAINE: They are living "star beings."

O'REILLY: Star beings.

O'REILLY: Do they get haircuts and stuff? Do they look like we do?

Letter to former Arizona Governor and Mr. Fox director of Out of the blue Nov 14th 2007

Dear Governor Symington and Mr. Fox,

Congratulations on an excellent press conference on Monday. We are heartened to see the process of Disclosure continuing and that some of the witnesses and materials brought forward by The Disclosure Project (www.DisclosureProject.org) are continuing to reach the public.

Regarding the request for a government/civilian panel to investigate the UFO matter, while we appreciate your laudable purpose in making this request, we are concerned about the unintended strategic consequences of such a process. To wit:

It is important to realize that powerful and well-funded unacknowledged special access projects (USAPs) within sectors of the US and other governments, and working largely through ‘work for others’ contracts with private institutes and corporations, have already been investigating the UFO/ET matter for decades.

These projects are rogue, unconstitutional and transnational in nature. In briefings that I conducted personally for CIA Director R. James Woolsey, Defense Intelligence Agency Director General Patrick Hughes, the Director of Intelligence, Joint Staff (J2) and senior members of key Congressional committees (Senate Intelligence Committee, House Government Oversight committee, etc.) among others, it was made clear that the chain of command has been subverted. Even after providing current project code names and numbers to J2, and after he subsequently located one of these USAPs within the Pentagon and demanded to be ‘read into’ (or briefed) on the operation, this Admiral informed us that he was denied access to these projects.

The science and technology behind these ET vehicles have been studied since at least the 1940’s and have been largely understood and reproduced. Their energy and pr!
opulsion systems, once disclosed, would eliminate the need for oil, gas, coal, nuclear power, public utilities and so forth. Many UFO sightings are, in fact, of these advanced aircraft which have been developed by Lockheed Martin, Northrup Grumman, SAIC and other military contractors and were operational by the late 1950s.

Importantly, in 1969 the Condon Committee at the University of Colorado, a panel much like what you are recommending, became a fraud perpetrated on the public, and its chairman, Dr. Condon, was a secret, unacknowledged CIA asset (after briefing CIA Director Woolsey and making a FOIA request, we obtained a CIA document that establishes this fact). Dr. Robert Wood, then of McDonnel Douglas Aerospace, was involved with the Condon Committee and discovered that Dr. Condon was
sanitizing any credible evidence from the report and even withheld
such evidence from other panel members (see www.DisclosureProject.org
witness testimony by Dr. Wood). When Dr. Wood challenged Dr. Condon on this behavior, Dr. Condon contacted Mr. McDonnel directly and attempted to get Dr. Wood fired. Any such committee today would most likely be a similar corrupt hoax and would seriously set-back Disclosure and only deepen the cover-up.

In light of the above, we recommend a strategy to have open, secrecy-free hearings before a relevant Congressional committee, such as the House Government Oversight Subcommittee for domestic affairs, chaired by UFO-observer Rep. Dennis Kucinich, or some other committee headed by a similarly honest and trustworthy chairperson. Alternatively, a hearing by the UN or the World Court would be an acceptable venue.

Importantly, since The Disclosure Project now has over 400 military, government, corporate and intelligence witnesses from around the world, as well as corroborating official documents and project code numbers and names, such a pool of witnesses testifying before an open, televised hearing would assure honest, real-time Disclosure. This pro!
cess, so long as open and conducted by an honest chairperson, would be much less likely to be corrupted than a government panel investigation.

Former Arizona governor "I saw a huge triangle craft"

Fife Symington says he nearly had a close encounter while governor of Arizona.

(CNN) -- In 1997, during my second term as governor of Arizona, I saw something that defied logic and challenged my reality.
I witnessed a massive delta-shaped, craft silently navigate over Squaw Peak, a mountain range in Phoenix, Arizona. It was truly breathtaking. I was absolutely stunned because I was turning to the west looking for the distant Phoenix Lights.
To my astonishment this apparition appeared; this dramatically large, very distinctive leading edge with some enormous lights was traveling through the Arizona sky.
As a pilot and a former Air Force Officer, I can definitively say that this craft did not resemble any man-made object I'd ever seen. And it was certainly not high-altitude flares because flares don't fly in formation.
The incident was witnessed by hundreds -- if not thousands -- of people in Arizona, and my office was besieged with phone calls from very concerned Arizonians.
The growing hysteria intensified when the story broke nationally. I decided to lighten the mood of the state by calling a press conference where my chief of staff arrived in an alien costume. We managed to lessen the sense of panic but, at the same time, upset many of my constituents.

I would now like to set the record straight. I never meant to ridicule anyone. My office did make inquiries as to the origin of the craft, but to this day they remain unanswered.
Eventually the Air Force claimed responsibility stating that they dropped flares.
This is indicative of the attitude from official channels. We get explanations that fly in the face of the facts. Explanations like weather balloons, swamp gas and military flares.
I was never happy with the Air Force's silly explanation. There might very well have been military flares in the sky that evening, but what I and hundreds of others saw had nothing to do with that.
I now know that I am not alone. There are many high-ranking military, aviation and government officials who share my concerns. While on active duty, they have either witnessed a UFO incident or have conducted an official investigation into UFO cases relevant to aviation safety and national security.
By speaking out with me, these people are putting their reputations on the line. They have fought in wars, guarded top secret weapons arsenals and protected our nation's skies.
We want the government to stop putting out stories that perpetuate the myth that all UFOs can be explained away in down-to-earth conventional terms. Investigations need to be re-opened, documents need to be unsealed and the idea of an open dialogue can no longer be shunned.
Incidents like these are not going away. About a year ago, Chicago's O'Hare International Airport experienced a UFO event that made national and international headlines.
What I saw in the Arizona sky goes beyond conventional explanations. When it comes to events of this nature that are still completely unsolved, we deserve more openness in government, especially our own.

Nasa told to solve Kecksberg Incident- Nov 11, 2007

For four decades, residents of the tiny Pennsylvania town of Kecksburg have told their story of strange blue lights in the sky one winter's evening and a fireball crashing into woods.
On 9 December, 1965, they say, they saw armed soldiers cordoning off the area and a large metallic acorn-shaped object bearing strange hieroglyphics driven off at speed on the back of a lorry. They talk of menacing plain-clothes officials visiting homes and warning local people not to tell anyone of what they saw.

Until now the US government has denied that anything sinister took place. It has maintained that a thorough search of the woods by the air force, the only federal agency to have acknowledged it was there, found nothing. But now Nasa has been ordered to examine its X-Files to solve the mystery.
Steve McConnell, Nasa's public liaison officer, has admitted two boxes of papers from the time of the Kecksburg incident are missing. The episode has parallels to the 1947 Roswell incident, when a UFO was said to have landed in New Mexico.

For so many years, a lot of good people in Pennsylvania were told by their government that what they had to say was a lie or that they were hallucinating,' said Leslie Kean, a journalist who launched a lawsuit four years ago to force Nasa to open its archives.

Washington judge Emmett Sullivan refused to accept Nasa's claim that the papers had been lost. He gave it until the end of the year to examine its records. 'Something came down that night,' said Kean.

Nasa has been stonewalling and now it's required to do the search it didn't do in the first place. It's a victory for those patriotic people who didn't like being told that they were making things up.'

Stan Gordon, a UFO investigator living close to the site, interviewed several witnesses. He said: 'It's interesting that [witnesses say] it was made of one solid piece of metal with no panels or rivets, and that it was moving relatively slowly and made almost a controlled landing.

'I have no doubt the government knows a lot more about this than it has revealed to the public.'

The UFO Disclosure Press Conference Nov 12, 2007

The UFO Disclosure press conference at the presitgious National Press Club was organized and run very well. Only accredited journalists were present, and each official or witness spoke to their personal experience concerning a craft whose origin could not be explained by anomalous weather, local military activity, flares, or commercial flight. Incidents ranged from a 1986 sighting over Anchorage by Japan Air Lines pilots and crew who saw a object with flashing lights that was six times the size of their 747, to a large disc seen by commercial pilots last spring at Chicago O’Hare that suddenly lifted up into the air above the airport. Panelists included former Belgian Air Force Deputy Chief of Staff Wilfried De Brower, Dr. Jean-Claude Ribes, who served 35 years for the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique in France. two Peruvian Air Force commanders, and French astrophysicist Dr. Claude Poher. Former Governor Fife Symington of Arizona spoke last. A former military pilot himself, the governor recalled the Phoenix Lights incident, in which he saw a delta-shaped craft of large size silently moving towards the mountains. Symington says that no Air Force or military explanations surfaced, and that a couple of half-hearted theories didn’t satisfy him. He said they couldn’t have been flares, as flares don’t move in formation. As for a base shrugging it off as some A-10’s, the governor noted that A-10’s are quite noisy, while the V-shaped object seen by hundreds of thousands from Maricopa County to southern Arizona was silent.
Symington recounted his press conference the day after the Lights were seen, explaining that the nature of the phone calls and citizen anxiety directed at his office was such that, to relieve the tension, he asked his chief of staff to dress up like an alien at the briefing. The aide refused. The governor insisted, and the chief said he would resign before doing such a thing. Symington told him his resignation would then be refused, and the staffer complied, but has never forgiven him. The mood lightener, the governor said, offended many of his constituents.
During the Q & A session, several journalists asked a version of the question, why is there a UFO coverup, or what do the militaries or aviation associations of various governments around the world, represented in the room and otherwise, fear concerning the public being told there have been unexplained vehicles flying over the airspace of many countries? Whether from France, England, or Peru, the response was the same- few high ranking government officials are willing to publicly admit there are civilizations, and thus craft, over whom we are powerless. Officials specualted about the fear being disempowered would engender, and said, “The (U.S.) government doesn’t want to scare people…”. One reporter disagreed, citing color alerts and terror warnings, stating, “…They want to scare us about everything else…”
The former investigative chief of the FAA, John Callahan, shared how he was told by the CIA and FAA to act as if the Anchorage incident never occurred. If asked about it, officials were told to say, “It’s under investigation.” A French airline official added that pilots are supposed to be serious, and discussion of unexplained phenomena professionally compromises people.
There were about 70 journalists and attendees at the press event, so the Ballroom was full, including maybe eight television or film-style cameras on tripods. It was made clear that far more journalists were invited but could not attend due to logistical or scheduling demands. Witnesses also made it clear, partly in response to separate questions concerning whether the African continent, Canada, or Mexico had notable sightings, that the phenomena being discussed was worlwide.
Each panelist was available for individual questioning or taping after the Q & A. Governor Symington proved very approachable and forthcoming in this regard, as did everyone. In an elevator afterwards, documentary filmmaker (”Out of the Blue”) and UFO investigator James Fox, his co-organizer and investigative journalist Leslie Kean, Symington and a couple journalists rode together. Fox remarked that it took three months to arrange the attendance of the official from the Iranian Air Force. One reporter opined that among media, the subject of ships of unearthly origin was off limits. “That’s changing.” insisted Fox

Larry King Live on Ufo's comment

I have to give Larry credit for attempting to show whats going on with the UFO phenomena, but like Peter Jennings show it was no more than what the average person already knows about UFOs. Buzz Aldrin was interesting in saying he saw a light following them. Wow, after seeing NASA the case for Ufo's you would of though he was blindfolded going into space. Leroy Gordon Cooper stated on the Disclosure Projects witness testimony dvd that a craft landed and took off in front of him. Stanton Friedman was as usual a firm advocate. The "skeptic' kept asking where is the evidence??? What a sqeemish weirdo. He kept saying eyewitness testimony doesn't count and he needed an alien body or probe for science to give it credit? They said that about germs, doctors at one time didn't know they existed. We now know they are everywhere. I doubt someone would hand over an alien body and say here you go. To say it isn't in front of me so it doesn't exist is just plain ignorant. The evidence is there just do the research. Not once did they mention the Disclosure Project, over 400 military, pilot and radar operators willing to testify in front of Congress. George Noory from Coast to Coast Am mentioned that Edgar Mitchell told him that we have been visited. He also mentioned that key military people have signed affidavits to what they saw in Roswell, yes a disk not of this world! The governor of Arizona said he saw a huge craft with thousands of others in the 1997 Phoenix Lights incident . Overall it was interesting to see people debate on this subject. It is definitely a turn in the right direction. I would like to see these discussions in Congress soon. Kucinich states he saw a ufo at presidential debate

The truth is out there, and Ohio Rep. Dennis Kucinich had no trouble offering his version of it when asked Tuesday night about his UFO sighting.
"It was an unidentified flying object, OK? It's, like, it's unidentified," Kucinich said during one of the few highlights at the Democratic presidential debate in Philadelphia. "I saw something."
Kucinich, whose UFO run-in came to light last week in a passage from Shirley MacLaine's new book, went on to joke that he planned to move his campaign office to Roswell, N.M. Roswell is the place where legend holds a spacecraft crash-landed in 1947 and was recovered and moved for investigation to nearby Area 51, a secretive U.S. government airbase in Nevada.
Kucinich went on to defend himself, saying many Americans have shared his experience.
"You have to keep in mind that more — that Jimmy Carter saw a UFO and also that more people in this country have seen UFOs than I think approve of George Bush's presidency," Kucinich said.
